Native Peoples of the Northeast Woodlands and Coast Exhibit Building
Through a series of images, text panels, interactive moments, and sound, visitors will be transported to Patuxet, the pre-European homeland of the region’s Native people. This re-imagined exhibit, a bridge to the past, will tell a story of change and persistence and provide all guests with a more comprehensive, educational and comfortable orientation at the very start of their visit.
The renovation of an adjacent structure would provide improved space for storing Native artifacts and daily program materials. With this new building and exhibit in place, guests of all ages, interns and visiting scholars will be able to further explore the rich historical content of the museum’s Indigenous research with staff.
Goal – $1,500,000
